Dear interested party, Revuw has great respect for the privacy of its users.

The data communicated via the Site will be treated with the utmost care and with all necessary means to ensure their security, in full compliance with current legislation to protect data confidentiality. We wish to inform you that the “European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data” (hereinafter “Regulation” or “GDPR”) provides for the przotection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data as a fundamental right. What is Revuw and how does it work?

Revuw offers its users a software platform called Revuw, accessible via the eponymous website, which, through a series of functions and interactions with external providers, enables Customers to:

(a) Centrally manage reviews from their end customers, also selecting a carousel of the best reviews to display on their landing pages;

(b) Actively communicate with end customers to ask for reviews of the location and/or the purchased product/service;

(c) Monitor the progress of reviews and ratings, which are also aggregated between the various service providers;

Revuw acts, in accordance with GDPR Regulations, as:

  • Data Controller, concerning the data of Users who own businesses of various natures and/or further business activities (hereinafter “Merchants”) and browsing data, particularly the data mentioned in points a) and b) of Article 2 of this policy.

  • Processor for the data of end customers (i.e., those reviewing the Merchant’s business) provided by Merchants in the context of requesting, creating, and organizing reviews. The processing by Revuw concerning these categories of data is governed by the “Data Processor Addendum” pursuant to Article 28 of the Regulation. The Addendum forms an integral part of the contractual relationship between Revuw and the Merchant, along with this notice and the general terms and conditions.

Revuw does not use the data provided by Merchants for its own purposes, such as marketing, market research, communication to third parties, or dissemination. Merchants ensure that end customers are sufficiently informed that their data is also processed by external data processors and specifically by Revuw.

 

Glossary

  1. “Addendum” is the document that governs the relationship between the Merchant and Revuw concerning privacy. “Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, with particular reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or one or more elements characteristic of his or her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity.
